IBS Laboratory Animal Resource Facility.
As the facility for life science research at IBS, the Laboratory Animal Resource Facility(LARF) ensures an optimal support for animal experiments with proper care and management of animals. The LARF consists of four Specific Ppathogen Free(SPF) suites (SPF-A, B, C, D), each capable of housing as many as 6000 cages.
The LARF provides specialized services for animal experiments with the following special features
- Cutting-edge facilities for laboratory animal housing.
- Microbiological verification of laboratory animal and research environments.
- Stable supply and maintenance of laboratory animal resources.
(via rederivation, in vitro fertilization and cryopreservation of animal reproductive resources) - Satisfying specific needs of each center by providing research equipment.
